MYOB Essentials

MYOB Essentials is designed with the start up business in mind or those that truly want easy-to-use. Essentials manages your debtors (customers), suppliers (creditors) and GST. It also produces a Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. It also comes with a full integrated payroll for an unlimited number of employees (so is great value) Essentials is browser based so no software need be installed. It runs on Mac or PC.

MYOB AccountRight

This flagship product has been at the forefront of MYOB's accounting offering & has been around since 1996. However AccountRight has come a long way since then....!

The MYOB AccountRight software comes in all shapes, sizes & prices. Most start with AccountRight Standard but if you are an employer and need Payroll then you can move to AccountRight Plus which includes accounting and integrated payroll. The MYOB AccountRight range has the same look and feel meaning once you are confident with one version, you can transfer that knowledge to another. You can buy AccountRight software with a one-time charge or take a monthly subscription to smooth out the cost.

12 months ago our external Accountants initiated a move from MYOB Premier 19 to an alternative and well known cloud based package. We persevered with this program for 12 months only to find it had severe limitations, lacked flexible reporting and was not suitable for our type of business. This resulted in a lot of frustration and double handling resulting in export of information to excel to get the level of reporting we required. With the restructure of some of our companies for the new financial year and the extended level of reporting required, a decision was made to move back to MYOB and to their cloud system called AccountRight Live. It was a good move.
