You spend the time working through the course and once complete we get together to go through the course and the questions you have. Allow 2 hours for the one-on-one training session. 1. MYOB: A Beginners Guide ($350 + GST)

This is our most popular course (previously called From Pen & Paper to MYOB) and is for people new to MYOB software who want to learn things right…right from the start. It also suits those of you who haven’t used MYOB software for a while and need a refresher.

2. Setting up MYOB Software ($350 + GST)

Get up and running properly with MYOB and learn how to enter relevant accounts, GST codes and card files correctly. We show you how to load opening balances for debtors, creditors, stock and the bank. Also covered is backing up and basic housekeeping.

Designed to give you a working knowledge of the essential business processes using MYOB business software. This hands-on course will take you from entering sales, purchases and banking right through to reconciling the bank account. The course is designed for businesses who buy and sell items and well as those who are serviced based.

End of Period Reconciliation & Reporting is about balancing your MYOB accounts so they make sense you & your accountant. You will learn how to reconcile your debtors, creditors, inventory and GST Control Accounts, locate and fix imbalances within the company file. You will also prepare reports for your accountant, enter end-of-year adjustments and start a new financial years.

Follow a tried and proven case study to become skilled in the use of MYOB Payroll – NZ’s most popular payroll program! Learn about NZ’s payroll legislation and how MYOB Payroll makes the complex easy. This course is for those of you new to MYOB Payroll or those who need a Refresher? On completion of this course you will be able to set up a computerized payroll and be confident to work with payroll on a day-to-day basis. This course touches on the practical aspects of the Holiday Pay Act 2004 and the Kiwi Saver Act 2006 and discusses 2011 legistative changes.

Lynley has presented MYOB seminars and courses to thousands of people over the past 15 yrs. She has been employed by MYOB NZ and prior to that co-owned JumpStart that was acquired by MYOB.  Lynley is an enthusiastic presenter who knows her stuff. She has written a number of MYOB training books and a co-author of the ‘Dummies Guide to Bookkeeping’. She is a director of Accounting Training Ltd.
