I’m in the last week of delivering the MYOB End of Tax year seminar series with the assistance of Nerida Henderson from MYOB’s Christchurch contact centre.
The seminars have run country wide (Whangarei to Invercargill) and the feedback has been fantastic (will publish some feedback in another post). Around 800 MYOB customers have atttended a seminar which covers topics from reconciling your MYOB control accounts, rolling over the year to payroll legislation changes.
Today we have the North Shore seminar (one only) with over 100 attendees the biggest yet.
The questions from the participants have been wide ranging – some people have great knowledge about the product and know what they are doing – some people clearly have no idea of what they are doing and struggle on making a huge mess of things!
People from regional towns (with less opportunity to attend training courses or have on site training from certificed consultants) have a more do-it-yourself approach and therefore have learnt the hard (and sometime incorrect) way.
There is a real mix but most people seem to pick up something myself included!
